Visa has been working to deliver a smooth transition to a high quality, easy and smart checkout experience with Visa Click to Pay, based on the EMV® Secure Remote Commerce (SRC) Specification v1.0.
Select Visa Checkout merchants in New Zealand have been able to transition to Visa SRC as of 10 June 2020. Starting on 25 June 2020 we will be able to transition additional New Zealand Visa Checkout merchants. Please contact your Visa Account Executive or payments service provider to learn more.

The networks are making efforts to coordinate where possible and testing timeframes may vary. Visa is committed to delivering the best experience for you and your consumers in a seamless manner.

Previously, we shared that enrolment and card management through issuer channels and the Visa Checkout destination site would be limited to Visa cards when Visa Checkout transitioned to Visa Click to Pay. To conduct proper network interoperability testing, this change was made effective on 25 July 2019. Only Visa branded cards can be added and managed on Visa Checkout via issuer channels and Visa Checkout destination site. Non-Visa branded cards are no longer visible via issuer channels and Visa Checkout destination site.
All cards enrolled in Visa Checkout are still available for consumers to checkout with on participating merchant sites. Consumers can continue to enrol and manage their non-Visa branded cards in Visa Checkout through participating merchants’ Visa Checkout experiences.
-
With the new Visa Click to Pay checkout experience, cards from other payment networks in Visa Checkout account, like Mastercard or American Express, may not be available. Consumers can visit Mastercard and American Express to manage or enable those cards. Consumers can also enable or manage their cards from participating networks during checkout at participating merchants.

You can visit the Visa Brand Asset Manager (VBAM) portal for Visa Click to Pay related assets such as email templates, digital banners, social media images and landing pages. The marketing toolkit included in the previously distributed transition package contains more information on VBAM.
If you do not have a VBAM account link, please contact your AE for marketing materials.

Existing New Zealand Visa Checkout consumers were informed of the transition to Visa Click to Pay with a service update during June 2020. These communications highlighted the availability of the new experience, its easy, smart and secure benefits, and the simple setup process. Visa will continue to promote and encourage the seamless checkout experience with additional activities throughout 2020.
